FIshing TECHNIQUES

We target mostly pelagic species in the gulf stream of the coast of Morehead City North Carolina. We troll rigged ballyhoo baits from 35ft outriggers with fish teasers for mahi, wahoo, tuna and billfish. Billfish is strictly catch and release so we practice conservation and use circle hooks on natural baits to insure the billfish isnt harmed and has the best chance of survival. If its giant Blue Marlin your seeking we trolling artificial lures which is the best way to catch a blue marlin off the coast of NC and maybe even a 50LB mahi!

We practice and perfect our circle hooking techniques and bait and switch and are more than happy to let you give it a shot yourself as the mate guides you. After you have pitched a ballyhoo to a sailfish billing the teaser you will be hooked for life!

We use all shimano rods and reels which are the best money can buy to make your experience smooth and give you the best chances of reeling in that fish of a lifetime to the stern of the boat
